Frolicking in the waves...ahhhhh... I miss the ocean. I did a few carvings based on some of Mayumi Oda's work and this was the culmination. I love the sensuality, the flow. This is an embossed version, my entry for the Erasercut Exchange Summer Postcard swap.
Amy gave me the carving tip of the year: use a tiny metal tube, like a ballpoint pen ink end, to make small circles or curves! I sanded them to sharpen the edges first. This was the first carve I used magnifying lights extensively. I can't imagine doing otherwise now. Oh well, I'm aging.
