In fits and starts, it's coming together. My daughter asked me to make her a life-sized doll last year and it's nearing completion. I made a couple of Waldorf-inspired dolls years ago. I love the head-scultping process and using real wool stuffing. Found some amazing dolls by Japanese artists (
http://kids.nunodoll.com/lifesize/) so I've combined approaches. Had to guess proportions, extrapolate from the patterns, so it's been messy (e.g., these are the second set of limbs).
There's my daugher wearing new glasses and modeling the doll wig before I sewed it to the head. Oh, she changed her mind back to brunette for the doll.
I'm in the middle of sewing the head on now.
